England World Cup goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s pregnant fiancée forced to have engagement ring cut off her swollen finger

The fiancée of England World Cup star Jordan Pickford had her £500,000 engagement ring cut off her finger after got stuck, causing her finger to swell up.

Megan Davison shared the painful pictures of the damage to her purple, swollen ring finger on Instagram.

The 22-year-old, who is expecting a baby boy with Everton goalkeeper Pickford, asked her followers for tips on how to get the ring off, to avoid facing the extreme option of having the expensive ring removed.

She wrote: “Anyone got any old wives tales tips on how to get my ring off? Been told it’s gonna get the chop if I don’t get it off soon.”

Swelling had caused the ring to cut deep into Miss Davison’s finger, and is thought to have been caused by her pregnancy.

She later wrote the couple had resorted to cutting off the ring, writing: “We’ve been to the jewellers for the chop.

“Thanks so much everyone for the messages, I’ll try and reply once I have feelings back in my fingers. However, I currently feel like Edward Scissorhands and can’t even butter a slice of toast.”

Pickford and Miss Davison announced in September the couple were expecting a baby, after the England keeper wowed in the World Cup.

Miss Davison and Pickford have been together since the pair were teenagers, having met in their home town of Sunderland.
