England Women have won Euro 2022 after a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Germany.
Chloe Kelly was the hero, poking home the winner in the second half of extra time amid wild scenes at Wembley. Kelly was booked for removing her shirt during the celebration, but it mattered not a jot.
Ella Toone's opener had been cancelled out during normal time. Germany had been growing into the game when they were rewarded for their efforts with a clinical finish to equalise in the 80th minute. Lina Magull had threatened throughout the match and capitalised to turn a cross past the previously infallible Earps for the equaliser.
But Sarina Wiegman's side found a way to get the job done in front of a record crowd of more than 87,000 spectators.
The winner came after Germany failed to deal with a corner from Lauren Hemp, Lucy Bronze got a touch on the ball and Kelly was in the right place at the right time to stab the ball home at the second attempt.
It capped a remarkable night and tournament which has seen women's football capture the imagination.
