England vs Senegal prediction and odds ahead of 2022 FIFA World Cup round of 16 tie

The round of 16 is underway and the Al Bayt Stadium will host England facing Senegal in the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Three Lions secured top spot in Group B after beating Wales convincingly in their final group match while Senegal had to fight off Ecuador in a crucial Group A decider to secure the runners-up spot.

Gareth Southgate's side are the favourites ahead of this match at 8/15 with Betfred while Senegal are 13/2 and a draw is 3/1. This will be the first ever senior international match between the two nations and the 13th time England's first ever match against a nation will be in the World Cup - they have won seven and drawn four in that time.

Senegal go into this tournament as the African Cup of Nations champions while England narrowly missed out on becoming champions of Europe last year on penalties against Italy at Wembley Stadium.
