England v Italy TV channel, start time, live stream info and team news

England and Italy meet in the Nations League this evening in a repeat of the 2020 European Champions final.

It was the Italians who won that game via a penalty shootout after the match finished 1-1 following extra time at Wembley.

England boss Gareth Southgate will be looking to kickstart their Nations League campaign after a 1-0 defeat to Hungary and a 1-1 draw with Germany so far this month.

Here is everything you need to know about the game...

What time is England v Italy?

The fixture will kick off at 7:45pm on Saturday, June 11, at Molineux in Wolverhampton. It will be played behind closed doors as punishment for unrest at Wembley Stadium during last summer's Euro 2020 final.

Is it on TV?

Yes, the match is being shown by Channel 4. Coverage starts at 7pm.

What about streaming?

You can stream the game via the All4 app.

Team news

Kalvin Phillips was taken off with an injury during the 1-1 draw with Germany and is likely to miss tonight's match. Phil Foden is still recovering from coronavirus. Southgate is likely to ring the changes after so many fixtures in a short space of time.

For Italy boss Roberto Mancini, the likes of Nicolo Zaniolo, Domenico Berardi and - on a longer-term basis - Federico Chiesa, are all missing.

What have the managers said

Southgate: "There is nobody [in the squad] we can't use. We have got to think about some things we have got to see, the freshness of the team as well. I think this is a good game for some of the other players to come into.

"It is a top-level game and is a good sign to show trust towards the players going into these games.

"I think if we only give players certain types of matches, you don't find out enough about them and they don't find out enough about the tactical challenge."

Mancini: “We would have preferred to play with supporters. Football without supporters is not football and is not good for an important game like this. I agree with him (Southgate).

“I don’t know if it (the punishment) is appropriate. I don’t remember what happened outside the stadium at Wembley.

“But it’s very difficult for me, after one year without supporters, to play again with no supporters, it’s very difficult. It’s better because football is more beautiful with supporters. It’s going to be a very different game because we play here and behind closed curtains.”
