Team news
Phil Foden remains a doubt following his Covid-19 absence. Kalvin Phillips, who went off injured against Germany, returned to the bench against the Italians. Skipper Harry Kane is expected to be back in the starting line-up after dropping to the replacements at the weekend.
What have the managers said?
Southgate: “When we go to the World Cup, we won’t just be handing out minutes to people, so there is always this balance of needing to find out about people, seeing how they are when they’re not in the team and this group are excellent at that, they support each other, they create an environment where the team is first and that gives you a great chance of success.”
Rossi : "I don’t think there will be many changes to the England team. They were strong against us, but also against Germany and Italy. They might rotate a bit. We can’t rotate as much, as we don’t have the same strength in depth. Some of our players are young and need time. We want to give them time."
