Here's what you need to know:

Venue

Al Bayt Stadium

Kick-off time

7pm

Date

Saturday, December 10th

TV and streaming information

RTE 2 will be showing the game live as will ITV1. Irish viewers can stream the game on the RTE Player.

Quotes corner

Gareth Southgate:

“You know, this is the acid test for us,” Southgate said. “We know it’s a step up from everything we’ve had so far.

“But the team have garnered so much experience in the last few years. They’re playing with confidence.

“We look threatening, we’re scoring goals, another clean sheet, which was really pleasing to see.

“So, we’re in a good place, but we know the level of the opposition as well.”

Team news

Raheem Sterling is a major doubt. He left the squad and returned to England after his house was broken into by armed robbers with his family inside. Ben White has also left the camp and is unavailable.

Betting odds

England - 2/1

Draw - 11/5

France - 11/8
