England stars to be joined by their biggest army of WAGS at Qatar World Cup

England’s World Cup stars will be cheered on by our biggest ever army of WAGs at a tournament abroad.... and their children.

Many of the squad are planning to take their families to Qatar for the big kick off on November 20 in Qatar. Harry Maguire will be backed by eight of his nearest and dearest. The Man Utd star will enjoy the support of his wife Fern, 28, their two children, his parents, two brothers, and sister.

‘Team Maguire’ is set to make the 6,500-mile round trip with Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan Davison, 26, and their son Arlo, three, and Jack Grealish’s girlfriend Sasha Attwood, 25. The group will also be with Luke Shaw’s partner Anouska Santos, their two children... and a nanny, hairdresser, and beautician.

“A group of the WAGs became very close at Fern and Megan’s weddings in the summer,” said an England source. “They are going to stay together in close-knit groups to avoid any problems when they go out.”

The FA is helping to cover some of the costs for the players’ families. But the players are paying the Lion’s share themselves, including private health insurance cover.

“Despite Covid, around 80 percent of the players expect to take their wives and girlfriends,” added the insider. “Some will be on a cruise liner, some in luxury hotels in Doha. But many are staying in Dubai.”

Captain Harry Kane is likely to be joined by wife Katie Goodland and their two children after she flew to Doha to check out hotels earlier this year. Newcastle Utd star Kieran Trippier’s wife Charlotte is also set to travel.

The couple, who have a son Jacob, six, and daughter Esme Rose, three, said: “I would take the kids. It is a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

“Jacob is obsessed with his daddy and football - all he talks about is football. It will be a great experience, but hard work!”

Harry’s Kane’s dad Pat, and Sean Rice, father of midfielder Declan, lead a ‘Dad’s Army’ in Qatar. Harry Maguire was supported in Russia by proud parents Zoe and Alan, brothers Laurence, 25, Joe, 30, and sister Daisy, 21.
