England's squad members will each receive £500,000 from the Football Association if they win the World Cup in Qatar.
English football's governing body will offer huge bonuses to the squad if they are successful over the next four weeks. They have put aside a £13million pot - almost double the amount they would've provided four years ago - which would be shared among the squad. Gareth Southgate himself would receive a £3m bonus.
The Three Lions are looking to build on recent performances in major tournaments and end a 56-year wait for World Cup success. Southgate's side reached the semi-finals in Russia four years ago but have been given a huge financial incentive to go all the way in Qatar.
England's bonus plan means they are more aligned with other leading nations, according to the Mail on Sunday. The financial rewards on offer are similar to those offered by Germany and Belgium. Brazil offer the most lucrative bonuses of any nation, but that is largely funded by their £30m-a-year Nike deal.
Iran are first up for England, who begin their campaign on Monday. After that, they face group fixtures against United States and Wales as they look to top the group and avoid a potential last-16 game with Netherlands. They do, however, face the potential of a crunch quarter-final with defending champions France.
England also have the added motivation of their agony last summer, when they were undone by Italy on home soil. The Azzurri, who didn't qualify for the World Cup, beat them on penalties at Wembley.

The Three Lions have been named among the favourites to win the World Cup. They are one of Europe's leading fancies alongside the France and Spain. Brazil are leading the bookmakers' markets whilst Copa America winners Argentina are in the midst of a lengthy unbeaten run.
England, meanwhile, arrive in Qatar without a win since March. Since their victory over Ivory Coast in London, they have failed to win in six games. Southgate has seen his side relegated in the Nations League and beaten by the likes of Italy and Hungary.
Despite that, Eric Dier, who is back in the mix after being overlooked for the Euros last summer, claimed criticism of the England boss was ridiculous. "I think it's crazy talk because what he's done the last two tournaments, people's perception changes so quickly," said the Tottenham defender. You've got to remember what England were doing before," he said.
"He [Southgate] has taken England to the semi-final of a World Cup and the final of a Euros, and at that point we are talking about small margins that change the outcome of those results. It is just the world we live in."
