England booked their place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2022 with an emphatic 8-0 win over Norway.
Georgia Stanway opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a penalty and England scored five more before the break.
Beth Mead and Ellen White both scored braces, while Lauren Hemp also found the net during a stunning half of attacking football.
They took their foot off the gas during the second-half but still added one more through Alessia Russo and Mead completed her hat-trick too.
England will now face a quarter-final next week, back here in Brighton, likely against either Germany or Spain.
Simon Collings was at the Amex to see the Lionesses in action...
Mary Earps 6
Had such an easy night in goal that she could have setup one of the deck chairs from Brighton beach to enjoy the game.
Lucy Bronze 8
Just a class above at right-back. Got forward on so many occasions and was involved in several of the goals. Is creating a great understanding with Mead.
Millie Bright 6
Had very little to do really as England bossed the whole game and Norway barely had a sniff going forward. Made one vital clearance from a corner.
Leah Williamson 6
An easy night’s work at centre-back for the captain. Was given time to play out from the back and get her foot on the ball.
Rachel Daly 6
Out shone by Bronze on the other flank, but still had a solid enough game. Made a few excellent tackles when Norway tried to threaten out wide.
Keira Walsh 7
Kept things neat and tidy in midfield with a calm performance. Won the ball and provided a platform for those ahead of her to flourish.
Georgia Stanway 8
Slotted her penalty to get England on their way and had a good game. Wasn’t a nailed-on starter before the tournament began, but she is now.
Beth Mead 9 | Star player
Caused absolute carnage out wide and finished the game with three goals and an assist. Pretty close to a perfect performance from the winger.
Fran Kirby 8
How delighted England must be to have Kirby back fighting fit again. Looked so dangerous as a No10 and finished the game with two assists.
Lauren Hemp 9
Like Mead on the other flank, she had a brilliant game. Caused so many issues with her pace. Grabbed a goal and assist but could have had more.
Ellen White 8
Questions were asked of her after England’s opening-day win over Austria. The striker emphatically answered them tonight with a brace.
Substitutions
Alessia Russo (White 57’) 7
Off the bench and grabbed herself a goal with a well-taken header. Will hope to start on Friday against Northern Ireland.
Ella Toone (Kirby 57’) 7
A bright cameo from the No10, who went close to scoring on a few occasions. Looks like a valuable impact player.
Alex Greenwood (Daly 57’) 6
On to play at left-back, instead of in the heart of defence, and was solid enough. Hit the bar with a long-range shot.
Chloe Kelly (Hemp 70’) 6
Made a few nice runs during a brief cameo. Highlights England’s strength in depth.
Jill Scott (Stanway 80’) N/A
