Newcastle United fans are pleased to see goalkeeper Nick Pope rewarded with a start in England's clash with Italy at the San Siro this evening. Pope is set to win his ninth cap for the Three Lions, with the Magpies shotstopper having been chosen ahead of Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale.
Fellow Newcastle man Kieran Trippier is set to take his place on the bench, with Reece James and Bukayo Saka starting in the two wing back roles. Elsewhere in Gareth Southgate's XI, Kyle Walker, Eric Dier and Harry Maguire have been given the nod, with Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice in a midfield two.
Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane make up the remainder of the side in an exciting looking front three. Here is how Newcastle fans have reacted to Pope's inclusion.
