Chelsea will have to see off competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham's signature next summer.
The Blues are in desperate need of new blood in their midfield, considering the uncertain futures of both N'Golo Kante and Jorginho, who are both set to miss out on featuring at the World Cup. The Gunners are in a strong position to be able to contend with Chelsea and their Premier League and European rivals, especially if they are able to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season either through winning the Europa League or finishing in the top four.
Borussia Dortmund slapped an asking price of £110million on their star midfielder during the summer transfer window but are resided to losing the England international next summer, despite his contract running until 2025. The 19-year-old has a major decision to make regarding his future, and he could follow former Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland's example by using a 'transfer points scoring system' to weigh up his options.

Bellingham has often spoken of his admiration for his 'idol' Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, and now the former Reds captain has repaid the favour with praise of the Dortmund star. Speaking ahead of the World Cup, Gerrard said: "I think for the viewers watching this World Cup, there's a massive opportunity to enjoy a massive pool of players from different countries.
"I've competed against a lot of these players, your Messi and Ronaldo's of this world. They'll be the two big names with a lot of focus, but the tournament's going to be littered with high-class players."
Amidst all the world-class talents set to be on show in Qatar, England have a few of their own in Gareth Southgate's squad, including none other than Dortmund superstar Bellingham, who Gerrard cannot wait to get a closer look at. The Liverpool icon added: "I'm really excited to watch Jude Bellingham.
"I think in next 10 or 15 years, he's going to become an England superstar. There's a lot of Premier League players out at the World Cup, and they'll be hoping they're on the right side of a successful tournament."
Bellingham may benefit his current club with a strong performance at the World Cup, adding more value to his current asking price as top European clubs prepare their opening offers for the talented midfielder. Chelsea will hope they can secure Champions League qualification again this season to allow Todd Boehly to flex his financial power and convince the 19-year-old in moving to Stamford Bridge ahead of their rivals.
