Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has been forced off injured during the first half of their Premier League meeting with West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday.
The Foxes midfielder, who had scored after just eight minutes to give Leicester a 1-0 lead, was forced off minutes later after going down off the ball with concerns over a potential calf issue.
While Maddison was okay enough to hobble off, the injury comes just over 48 hours after earning a place in England’s World Cup squad in Qatar.

Maddison, who was picked ahead of West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen for the squad, will be concerned over the issue, considering England’s first World Cup game in Group B in Qatar is just nine days away.
Earlier in the game, French centre-back Kurt Zouma, who has not been picked for the tournament, was forced off injured. That led to Moroccan centre-back Nayef Aguerd replacing him for his Premier League debut.
Aguerd is one of six West Ham players going to the tournament alongside Declan Rice, Alphonse Areole, Thilo Kehrer, Lucas Paqueta and Nikola Vlasic.
