Brendon McCullum 's men displayed healthy appetites as they successfully hounded down a 299 chase in just 50 overs. Jonny Bairstow was named Player of the Match following his 136 in the second innings, representing almost half the team's total.
And England's elite deservedly hit the town after a rewarding day's work. Some of McCullum's squad were captured queuing for kebabs at Mega Munch near Nottingham city centre, where Chelsea-born Ollie Pope looked particularly pleased with his purchase.
The Surrey star grasps what appears to be chips and doner meat (plus additional doner) with loving eyes. Sky Sports presenter Gary Taphouse quote-tweeted the clip alongside the caption: "Everyone needs to find someone who looks at them the way Ollie Pope looks at his kebab."
Players can be seen dotted about the fast food restaurant, hoping to hear their orders read out among other members of the public. Like something out of a nouveau renaissance tapestry, fresh details seem to emerge with every new viewing.
Joe Root may no longer be skipper of the Test team but took on ordering duties at the counter, doling out samples as they appear. Bowling veteran Jimmy Anderson can be seen at one stage raising his hand in what appears to be short-lived at the thought his order is up, only to be disappointed.

McCullum and his men were anything but as they guaranteed a summer series win over New Zealand, with their third and final Test set to get underway at Headingley on June 23. There, the hosts can complete a clean sweep of the Kiwis and move their attention to the Netherlands.
This latest performance has helped instil a belief in England that's been lacking for some time. Former captain Michael Vaughan even went so far as to suggest the 2019 world champions "are to be feared" once again in his latest Telegraph column.
Kebabs may not be prescribed as a regular component in a conqueror's diet. That being said, England will hope for many more excuses to pig out in future as they seek to return to the head of the cricket's main table in 2022.
