England bowled out for fourth-lowest T20I total as batting woes continue vs West Indies

Following on from England 's woeful trend of batting collapses against Australia in the Ashes, Eoin Morgan 's T20I side produced a pitiful display as they were bowled out for just 103 against the West Indies.

With a number of star players missing due to their involvement in the Ashes, only five players who featured in England's T20 World Cup semi-final clash against New Zealand played in Barbados.

Jason Roy, who smashed a 36-ball hundred in England's sole warm-up game, was the first wicket to fall as he started the trend of getting out immediately after hitting a boundary.

Having just smashed Sheldon Cottrell for a six, Roy got bowled and he was one of four wickets which England lost in the powerplay.

Jason Holder picked up two wickets in the next over, getting Tom Banton caught at slip for four and Moeen Ali caught at backward point for a duck.

Cottrell then took his second wicket as James Vince hit a simple catch to cover immediately after striking a six.

Vince was one of just four batters to reach double figures for England, with captain Morgan making a stuttering 17, Chris Jordan adding an important 28 and Adil Rashid scoring 22.

Sam Billings, fresh out of quarantine after featuring in the final Ashes Test, was unable to get going and got stumped for two.

Liam Dawson then got run out for two in embarrassing fashion, before Morgan's innings came to an end right after he scored his first boundary.

Having soaked up the pressure before hitting Romario Shepherd for a six, Morgan was caught at cover for 17 off 29 balls to leave England on the brink at 49-7.

However, Jordan played an important cameo to scrape England past their lowest-ever T20I total of 80.

He struck three sixes in a partnership of 36 with Rashid, before holing out off Fabian Allen.

Saqib Mahmood perished in the final over for nine, getting caught on the boundary, before rashid was bowled for 22 as England were all out for just 103 - their fourth-lowest total in the format.
