England’s women are one win away from completing a perfect tour of the West Indies after another dismal batting collapse from the home side in Sunday night’s fourth T20I.
Seamer Lauren Bell took 4-12 as England secured a 49-run victory to go 4-0 up in the five-match series, having already swept the ODI fixtures 3-0.
Opener Sophia Dunkley top-scored for England with 35 off 32 balls but Cherry-Ann Fraser took three wickets in in the 11th over as Heather Knight’s side slipped from 73 for two to 86 for seven.
Only a crucial eighth-wicket partnership of 44 between Charlie Dean and Katherine Brunt saw England set a target of 132 for victory but again their bowlers proved too good for the Windies.
Bell struck twice in the first over to remove Aaliyah Alleyne and Shemaine Campbell for ducks while Dean and Sophie Ecclestone took two wickets apiece as the hosts, missing Shabika Gajnabi after an injury in the field, were bowled out for 82 with four overs remaining.
The fifth and final game of the series takes place on Thursday night in Bridgetown.
