Harrison Endycott is on track to claim a precious PGA Tour card, sharing the lead midway through the tour's qualifying school final stage in Florida.
The 27-year-old Australian shot a two under par 68 second round at Sawgrass Country Club on Friday to get to seven under and remain tied at the top of the leaderboard in a field of 165 players.
Only the top five and ties get PGA Tour cards after the closing fourth round.
Endycott is battling to regain full tour status after finishing 139th in his rookie season this year and was exempt into the final stage.
He opened the event with the only bogey-free round, a five-under 65 at TPC Sawgrass' Dye's Valley Course. Entrants play each of the two courses twice.
Endycott is tied with Americans Kyle Westmoreland and Blaine Hale Jr, one shot ahead of Americans Harry Higgs and Trace Crowe.
The other Australians are well back, with Rhein Gibson tied 78th at two over after a 68 and John Lyras tied 122nd at five over along with Brett Drewitt while David Micheluzzi is tied 141st at seven over.
