Enchufe.tv and Elefantec Global collaborate to develop comedy content

2bLatam and Elefantec Global partner to develop content around enchufe.tv's IP

Ecuador-based 2bLatam and Mexican media & entertainment indie Elefantec Global have recently announced their partnership to develop content based on the IP of enchufe.tv, the popular Spanish-language comedy channel. This collaboration brings together the creative force behind enchufe.tv, which boasts over 70 million subscribers on its social media channels, and Elefantec Global, known for producing notable productions such as 'Bosé,' 'La rebellion,' and 'Todo por Lucy.'

The strategic partnership aims to adapt the unique humor found in enchufe.tv's sketches onto the big screen, with the first project centered around one of the channel's most iconic characters. While further details about this project are yet to be revealed, it undoubtedly creates anticipation among the channel's devoted audience.

Additionally, the partners are working on developing a Mexican version of some of enchufe.tv's sketches, carefully adapting the humor to align with Mexican sensibilities. This expansion into the Mexican market highlights the desire to engage with diverse audiences and cater to their specific tastes.

Arturo Yépez, CEO of 2bLatam, expressed excitement about the collaboration, explaining, 'We produce our films in parallel with a marketing strategy within the channel, leveraging our knowledge and experience in digital campaigns and content creators.' This suggests a comprehensive approach to audience engagement, ensuring that enchufe.tv's content reaches viewers not only in cinemas but through various digital platforms as well.

Bastian Manintveld, president and co-founder of the 2btube group, emphasized the importance of having strong industry allies to expand their reach globally. He stated, 'This is something especially relevant considering the positive impact of entertainment and humor on our society.' This sentiment underscores the power of comedy to bring joy and laughter to people's lives.

José 'Pepe' Bastón, the founder of Elefantec Global, expressed pride in collaborating with the talented team behind enchufe.tv, aiming to develop and expand content and characters that have brought laughter to millions of people in Latin America. This partnership will undoubtedly elevate the success and popularity of enchufe.tv, extending its influence beyond its current fan base.

One of enchufe.tv's most successful sketches, a parody of the Japanese manga series 'Captain Tsubasa' titled 'Super Campeones' ('Super Champions'), has garnered over 100 million views. These sketch comedies have resonated particularly well with the region's predominantly young population, catapulting enchufe.tv to new heights of popularity.

This is not the first collaboration for 2bLatam, as they previously teamed up with Edward James Olmos, his son Michael Olmos, and Morris Ruskin's MoJo Global Arts to create an English-language TV version of their YouTube phenomenon, 'Mortal Glitch.' As the first English-language project for the Ecuadorian company, 'Mortal Glitch' has already gained significant traction, accumulating 37 million views, with impressive viewership from Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.

Produced by 2bLatam's production arm, 2bOriginals, 'Mortal Glitch' was written and directed by Christian Moya, a partner at 2bLatam. The success of this project further solidifies enchufe.tv's position as a rising force in the digital entertainment landscape.

With this strategic partnership, enchufe.tv is poised to expand its reach, entertain new audiences, and bring laughter to millions of people across the globe. The collaboration with Elefantec Global demonstrates the commitment to producing quality content that transcends borders, languages, and cultural barriers. Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements regarding enchufe.tv's foray onto the big screen and the exciting Mexican version of their hilarious sketches.
