An employee has been accused of fraudulently stealing nearly three-quarters of a million dollars from the Queanbeyan business for whom she worked.
The 42-year-old woman was arrested when she attended Queanbeyan police station on Wednesday morning.
Police allege she stole more than $736,000 from her employer. The business she is said to have defrauded has not been revealed.
Police were first notified about the alleged fraud in October of last year.
She has been charged with five counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and three counts of stealing property as a clerk/servant.
The woman has been granted bail and is set to face Queanbeyan Local Court later in the month.
