Emotional Warren Graham tributes at Kilmarnock match as supporters remember tragic teenager

Rugby Park fell silent yesterday as thousands paid their respects to Warren Graham.

The 17-year-old passed away on Tuesday with hundreds of tributes flooding in for the bagpipe player and Kilmarnock fan.

A fitting tribute to the youngster saw Connor McBlane, a Kilmarnock Pipe Band member with Warren, play a rendition of Amazing Grace on the bagpipes during the half-time interval at the Inverness match.

Supporters applauded before Connor started playing an emotionally charged version of the poignant song before the crowd fell silent to hear the piper play.

Earlier, in the 17th minute of the match, fans in the 4,790 crowd rose to their feet to applaud Warren.

It's understood that the hardy band of Inverness fans also joined in the tributes to the talented youngster also.

Kilmarnock Pipe Band said on Facebook after the match: "We’re so proud and grateful to our piper Connor McBlane who played Amazing Grace at today’s Killie game in honour of Warren.

"It must have been such a difficult and emotional experience and we know Warren would have been honoured that Connor was the one to do it as he always looked up to him.

"It was particularly poignant knowing that all of Warren’s family were in attendance."

Fundraising for Warren's funeral has now exceeded £8,000.
