Emotional Scott Brown soaks up major FA Cup shock as Celtic icon challenges his Fleetwood stars for MORE

Delighted Scott Brown lavished praise on his Fleetwood Town heroes as they caused a FA Cup tremor by downing Queens Park Rangers 2-1.

Toto Nsiala and Promise Omochere struck to send the Cod Army delirious as they booked their place in the fourth round after the R's leg through Sam Field. And the Celtic icon is urging his players to savour every moment of their big win and make it count in the weeks ahead.

Brown, speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, said: "To have our name in the fourth round of the FA Cup is exceptional. For me as a manger it's exceptional. My playing days are gone so it's all about my managerial career now. This is about these lads leaving a legacy at this club. They showed how hard they've worked over the past six-and-a-half months. That's two games in a row we've won and we've got to keep kicking on."

And Brown believes the big win over Neil Critchley's side is testament to the hard work his team have been putting in over the course of the season. He added: "This is what we've been working on all season, that intensity, that performance, and you can't just do that against a Championship side then drop off and then drop off the face of the world.

\"We need that week in, week out now. For us going forward that's what we expect. We want that and we've played some great football at home [this season] especially, but we've just not been able to kill the game off."
