Scott Arfield last night revealed he is planning to continue playing after he made his final Rangers appearance at Ibrox.
The popular midfielder, 34, made a substitute appearance in Rangers' final home match of the season before his departure in the summer.
And Arfield is hoping to continue playing beyond his time at Ibrox as he opened up on his plans to play until he is 40.
Quizzed on his future, Arfield told Sky Sports: "I don't know. I need to go an wait and see what comes up. I'm open to everything.
"I just want to be happy, I want to continue playing. I said when I was 16 years of age I wanted to try and play until 40, that's not changed.
"Until somebody tells me I'm not good enough or I get an injury that's going to keep me out I'm going to continue as long as I can.
"This is where I am at my happiest, when I am playing football and I am enjoying myself - long may it continue."
Arfield was Steven Gerrard's first signing during his tenure and a key player in delivering Rangers' 55th title. The Canadian counts the accolade among his best memories at the club - and hinted at a possible return in the future.
"In 2018 I said that i wanted to come and win the 55th title for Rangers and I managed to do it. Amazing memories and hopefully I'll be back at this club in some capacity in the future, he said.
"I've had an amazing time and connection at this football club. I'm so lucky to be part of this and have scored some amazing goals in big moments and nobody can take that away from me.
"My kids can look back at it some day and think, 'Daddy did alright'."
Arfield added: "It's amazing. When I first came in 2018 you obviously know this day will come eventually.
"The messages that the fans have sent in the last 24 hours since the new broke really hits home what a connection I've made with these fans.
"It's testament to everybody that we've made that connection with a few trophies along the was, obviously you want more success and more medals but success can be measured in many different ways; connections, friendships, legacies.
"I appreciate every single supporter who supported me along the way."
A teary Allan McGregor admitted he was overcome with emotion as he made his farewell lap.
But in typical fashion, he was also left furious after a late leveller somewhat soured his final appearance at Ibrox.
"Emotional," said McGregor when asked for his feelings after the draw with Hearts.
"I'm actually raging with the goal to be honest, that's in my head but I'm emotional.
"Last game here, a lot of great memories that will live with me forever so I've got to take that away from it.
"There are too many [memories]. It's an amazing club, I just love the place.
"The atmosphere here, the fans are amazing they stand by you in the good times and the bad times.
"It's just a fantastic place."
McGregor will depart Rangers in the summer alongside Arfield, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander and Ryan Kent, but there is no indication whether he will continue playing.
Pushed on what comes next for him, McGregor joked: "I want to go and get a shower."
