Emotional Ireland players reduced to tears during Six Nations anthems

There were plenty of emotive scenes as Ireland played France in a massive Six Nations clash on Saturday.

Andy Farrell's side were favourites as the top two ranked sides in the world met in Dublin.

The Irish rose to the occasion with a superb 32-19 win to keep their Grand Slam ambitions alive and kicking.

The Aviva was rocking at the final whistle, and there was plenty of emotion ahead of kick-off.

Both Johnny Sexton and Andrew Porter could be seen with tears in their eyes as Amhran Na Bhfiann was blasted out before the game.

And fans loved the passion shown in the faces of both men, as well as the rest of the Ireland team.

One tweeted: "The emotion from @JohnnySexton during the anthem has me so emotional before the game even starts!"

Another said: "Incredible passion in the anthems from the Irish lads ,especially Johnny Sexton and Peter O'Mahony! Safe to say the Irish are up for it."

Someone else added: "Andrew porter crying. This is huge!"

One other tweet read: "The Emotion in @JohnnySexton face right now has got me.. huge game ahead for the Irish."
