Emmerdale viewers rushed to support actor Danny Miller after he opened up about his own battle with depression following a special male-only episode of the soap, which focussed on mental health.
The Aaron Dingle actor took to Twitter on Sunday to share his own personal views about Friday night's groundbreaking episode, which he said made him "cry like a little boy".
Danny said: "I just HAD to tweet this. I’ve just caught up with @emmerdale male only, mental health episode and I cried like a little boy. Brought back so many emotions for me during my battle with depression. All of the boys were incredible in it. As was the directing and writing."

Danny continued, praising Paddy Dingle actor Dominic Brunt and said: "I sat in awe of the whole thing and weeped along with @dominicbrunt and all of those other brilliant actors with in that episode and that show. It really hit home and made me pick up the phone and text my friends and check in. We all need to do the same.
"To @dominicbrunt you never cease to amaze me. What a role model you have been for, not only me, but every man and boy out there. The length of this tweet says just how much it struck me, in every way it should have. Congratulations to all!"
During Friday evening’s episode of Emmerdale viewers saw some of the men from the village stay behind in The Woolpack for a lock-in. It was the first time the ITV soap has attempted an episode of such a nature.
It follows on from the focus on the mental health struggles of Paddy Dingle, played by Dominic Brunt, following the collapse of his marriage to Chas. As we’ve previously reported in the special, some Emmerdale favourites will speak openly about their struggles.
Fans rushed to offer their support to Danny following his post on Sunday, with many saying how they would like to see his character return to support his step-dad Paddy. Twitter user @JonnoDew said: As someone who has battled with mental health and depression since my teens, Aaron"s story and indeed your own personal strength has been integral in me still being here. Even now, your Instagram posts are an absolute saving outlet of joy. Inspirational. Thanks for everything.
Twitter user @PaulParfitt said Amazing episode and brilliant script... Laughing and crying all the way through. @WKillan said: "I agree. I think an Aaron visit to Paddy would also go down well. Thoughts??
User Sonia added: "It was fantastic, they were all phenomenal, guys find it so difficult to open up, really hope that this episode helped guys in a similar situation, it is good to talk.
Eli said: "It'd have been even better if Aaron was around for it, his presence is massively missed during this story."
