Evil Alex's reign of terror over Emmerdale could be coming to an end - as he is left for dead next week.
Alex will anger the Dales residents, particularly vicar Charles when his scheming is unveiled on the ITV soap next week. It has been confirmed he wants to steal drugs from Dr Manpreet Sharma's pharmacy and that is why he's wanted to get closer to Naomi.
At the start of next week, Dawn tells Billy all about how Alex threatened her last year whilst Alex seemingly tries to settle into his new village life as Charles tries to get on board with Naomi's new romance.
Clare, meanwhile, is putting the pressure on Alex to continue with his plan to break into the surgery but he is left horrified when the drugs cabinet is empty. He reassures Clare that he will find a way and the next day, he makes a plan to steal from the delivery van.
Alex impersonates Dr Liam Cavanagh as he makes a phone call to find out when the delivery van will be arriving, as he sets his plan into action amid the court case for Dawn and Billy to get full custody of Lucas and Clemmie.
He manages to get to the pharmacy van and steals all the drugs from it, but Charles rumbles his secret after finding the drugs in the car. He chases him as Alex tries to run away, before the vicar tackles him and damages his car.
Charles is devastated to hear that Alex's plan involved manipulating Naomi and that their romance is nothing but a sham. He tries to call the police but Alex quickly smashes his phone and makes off with the drugs. Charles tells Naomi what he knows, but her reaction leaves him wanting more from her, so he heads out on a drive to clear his head.
Alex is later seen standing by the side of the road, receiving a call from Clare, when a car comes by and hits him as he steps out into the road. He lies lifeless on the floor, whilst a figure walks towards him before running away.
Who hit Alex, and is he really dead or will he be able to pick back up with his evil plan?
