Emmerdale viewers 'work out' who shot Al Chapman and it isn't Cain Dingle

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have "worked out" who really shot Al Chapman.

Tonight's programme explored the fallout of the Halloween showdown between Al and Cain Dingle. Cain held Al at gunpoint before he tossed the weapon away in favour of a fist fight.

Last night's show ended on a cliffhanger as a shot rang out, but it was unclear who had been hit. It was revealed at the beginning of the latest show that Al had been killed after he took the bullet.

Kerry Wyatt discovered the body as Cain was wiping the shotgun clean. He insisted it wasn't what it was looked like, but Kerry phoned the police.

Cain fled home and told his wife, Moira, that all would soon be revealed before he was arrested by armed police. The character, played by Jeff Hordley, was in custody at the end of the episode as the police charged him for the crime.

However, viewers are convinced the real killer was Aaron Dingle. The character, played by Danny Miller, was the only other character to discover Al and Chas' affair - and viewers on Twitter are convinced he took revenge before leaving the fictional village.

Adam said: "I'm saying there's a third person involved in Al’s killing. Maybe Aaron did it? Cane did say it isnt what it looks like"

Jayne posted: "Has Aaron definitely left the village ? Could he be involved in the shooting"

J tweeted: "It was definitely Aaron"

Sam commented: "It was Aaron wasn’t it"

Richard added: "Aaron shot Al. Cain covering for him"
