Emmerdale viewers 'work out' Caleb's downfall after huge error as revenge plot thickens

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have worked out Caleb Milligan's downfall after what they thought was a huge error in tonight's show.

Wednesday's episode continued to explore the character's plot to reclaim Home Farm from Kim Tate. Caleb has confirmed he is Frank Tate's son and is hiding his identity as he carries out his secret plot to avenge his dad's death.

Caleb is working in cahoots with Nicky, who is actually his son. Nicky has courted Gabby Thomas and proposed to her as part of the plan to get in with the Tates before they take their revenge.

However, Nicky has been having doubts this week and is concealing his true sexuality from his dad as he had a one night stand with a character named Ally. Caleb tried to keep his son focussed on the revenge plans in Wednesday's episode, but Nicky was clearly distracted as he received a flirtatious message from Ally.

This prompted a lapse in concentration that nearly exposed their secret as he called Caleb dad in front of the whole village. Viewers following the show on Twitter were in hysterics after the gaffe and think the revenge plot is currently unravelling as they won't be able to keep their secret under wraps for much longer.

Kelly said: "Sorry DAD .. woah way to keep it secret Nicky"

Clara commented: "Oh sorry Dad! Howling"

Steve posted: "Nicky and Caleb aka Laurel & Hardy are so bloody discreet."

M tweeted: "Nicky and Caleb are hardly discreet"
