Emmerdale viewers unravel dark storyline building for Vinny

Emmerdale viewers are noticing a dark, gambling addiction plotline build for Vinny.

The village is still feeling the effects of the storm but no one more so than Vinny who struggles to cope with the death of his partner, Liv. It appears nothing is easing the pain, despite Mandy and the rest of the family's best efforts, so they have moved to simply keep his mind busy.

Over the last few days, Vinny's hands have been kept busy with an array of card games. Ranging from snap to poker, it's the only thing that turns his mind away from the disaster.

In tonight's episode, during yet another game of poker, Vinny was seen pushing for more rounds despite enduring a mean losing streak. Mack and Darren allowed it as they promised his mother they would do their best to divert his attention away from Liv but several scenes saw the pair look somewhat concerned about his gambling.

After walking away the loser in nearly every game he played, Vinny was only stopped after Mack and Darren refused to play any further after cheating accusations flared up.

Viewers noticed the darker undertones of the situation as they called out an "addiction" storyline building. One viewer said: "Vinny is going to develop a gambling addiction just like his dad." Another added: "So Vinny has become a gambling addict in less than a week?"

Whilst a third said: "Vinny gambling all Livs money." A final added: "Vinny is sinking deeper and deeper into gambling. It won't be long before he becomes an addict and it's all Jimmy and Mack's fault."
