Emmerdale spoilers have confirmed Leyla Harding shares a secret link with new character Suzy - which she clearly doesn't want to be exposed.
Viewers of the ITV soap have become aware that Leyla is hiding something, and next week Suzy and Leyla come face-to-face.
Suzy claims they know each other through work to love interest Vanessa Woodfield, while she's later seen promising Leyla her secrets are safe with her.
Now, fans have begun to speculate how the pair are linked, and what Leyla is hiding from everyone.
From predictions of a past fling to a possible crime, and even a secret relative, fans have shared their theories online.
Taking to Twitter, many began to question if Leyla might have had a romance with newcomer Suzy years ago, as others predicted her true identity could be that she is a sister of Leyla.
One viewer said: "Think she’s an old flame, when she left Jacob her son & David to go on her travels abroad!! Her sister helped bring Jacob up."
Another agreed: "Secret affair from years ago," as a third wrote: "Has Suzy had a cheeky one with Leyla in the past then?"
Others had a different theory though, with one fan simply writing: "Long lost sister."
A second backed this, writing: "I think they could either be sisters or cousins. I don't think they look like mother and daughter."
Meanwhile these weren't the only ideas fans had on their link, with one suspecting Suzy could be Meena's first murder victim Nadine, and that she might have returned for the trial - after Leyla was heard having a cryptic phone conversation last week.
Also, one fan suggested Leyla was hiding a dark secret that Suzy may have covered up.
They wrote: "Wanna hear my theory. Suzy was in love with Leyla (one sided) and would do anything for her, including taking the blame for a crime Leyla committed. This is my theory, I’m sticking to it."
