Emmerdale viewers predict what will happen to baby Reuben amid health battle

Emmerdale viewers have predicted what could happen to Reuben after the newborn ended up in intensive care.

The baby boy is currently battling bacterial meningitis with mum Chloe Harris terrified she could lose her son. Meanwhile, Reuben's dad Mackenzie Boyd is finding it harder and harder to hide his true feelings.

His wife Charity Dingle still has no idea that Mack and Chloe had an affair, which resulted in the birth of their son. It is expected the secret will not stay a secret for much longer and fans have already shared their theories on how the plotline could unfold further.

Some believe the baby could need a transplant that only Mack will be able to provide, while others fear the tot will not survive the illness. @deanobeanos tweeted: "No doubt Reuben will need a transplant or blood transfusion."

@ToddGM246 mused: "This baby Reuben story would've been better if there was something only his dad could provide him with."

@DamiSpooky pleaded: "Please tell me they are not gonna kill off the baby. That's cruel."

Meanwhile, others are still not convinced Mack is actually the father. @JamieSummersTV said: "Imagine if the baby's actually Noah's and is Charity's grandson."

It comes after tonight's episode ended in a violent outburst that saw Mack reaching breaking point. Unable to cope with Dan Spencer's positivity, he punches him in the face and storms out of The Woolpack, leaving behind a shocked Charity.
