Emmerdale viewers have issued rare praise following tonight's "sensational" episode.
The truth about Mackenzie Boyd's secret son is finally out and the fallout has been rocking the village as wife Charity Dingle struggles to grapple with the enormity of his betrayal. Mackenzie, who cheated on her with Chloe Harris after the couple had a row about growing their family, appeared content to keep on lying.
Chloe then realised she was pregnant and despite Mack's insistence, decided to keep the baby. Having given birth to son Reuben a few weeks ago, the new mum was left absolutely devastated when Reuben contracted bacterial meningitis.

The health news made it hard for Mack to keep his true feelings and interest in his son hidden and Charity slowly started to notice his odd behaviour. It was during a hospital visit that she finally pieced the puzzle together - a moment soap fans have been waiting for impatiently for months.
Tonight's episode saw Charity dig deeper into Mack's infidelity and as more and more of the truth came to light, she realised it wasn't just her husband who had been lying to her all this time. Viewers have had nothing but praise for actress Emma Atkins tonight who has done a "phenomenal" job of portraying the complex emotions that are going on in Charity's mind.
Not normally mincing their words when unhappy with the script, fans took to social media to share their feedback. @RyanTheSoapking wrote on Twitter: "Emma Atkins was incredible tonight!!!!! What an episode."
@Jamie27A_ gushed: "Yeah no that was the best episode I’ve seen for a while, pure destruction and I love it." @snoopsaj said: "Emma Atkins is phenomenal. Amazing actress."
@COOL_D72 commented: "Emma Atkins is sensational WOW!!!" @NoseyMJ wrote: "Emma Atkins is a FANTASTIC actress. Very few can do comedy or have great comedic timing, and then offer such range in drama and raw emotion. Love Charity's journey and character." And @josh__hartley tweeted: "Emma Atkins on fire tonight. Phenomenal!"
