Emmerdale viewers hit out at 'horrendous' storyline after explosive row

If there's one thing you can expect from Emmerdale it is drama. From the larger than life characters to the twisting plot, there's always something big around the corner.

But several viewers have hit out at the ITV show's storylines following the latest episode.

An explosive argument between Priya and Leyla in particular was not well received, when it came toward the conclusion of the show that one fan blasted as "unbelievable".

Tonight saw a showdown between the two women after Priya attempted to help Leyla with her business. Despite trying her best, her efforts were not deemed good enough.

While Leyla faced several stresses, she hoped an upcoming profile on her business would help to turn things around. But after facing a delay, she sent Priya to meet with the journalist in her place, hoping she could stall her by answering any initial questions.

But the reporter's approach quickly became too much for Priya, who then had to ask her to leave. When Leyla arrived to find the journalist sent away, she lashed out at an already upset Priya.

Among the harsh accusations were the claims Priya was "making everything about you" and playing victim. Unable to take any more harsh words, Priya fled, telling Leyla to never ask for her help before.

Following the shouting match, several fans took to Twitter to voice their disgust. @RyanGSoapKing11 wrote: "That was bang out of order from Leyla."

And @VampLover27 said: "Leyla’s lost it man." Twitter user @SarahRobron went so far as to ask: "Are they trying to ruin Leyla now too?" "There will be no likeable characters at the rate they’re going," she added.

But they weren't the one fans left unimpressed by the storylines. @sutty56 said: "Omg the story lines are horrendous." And @JordanPhelps21 thought it was "a pathetic episode."
