Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have figured out some of the dramatic storylines in store for the much-anticipated 50th anniversary episodes. The long-running ITV soap's bosses have revealed very little clues as to what is in store for a number of key characters for tie scenes, set to be screen in October.
But since the Yorkshire village has always been a magnet for tragedy, heartbreak, explosions and unexpected plot-twists in the past five decades, fans are bracing themselves for more big things from producers this autumn, reports The Mirror. Die-hard viewers are expecting a major character death in the anniversary episodes, with three of the Dingles said to be at risk according to theories.

The soap has just aired a dramatic week, which saw Al Chapman save the life of Cain Dingle. While Chloe Harris discovered she was being stalked by Noah Dingle and Faith Dingle was told that her breast cancer had returned in heart wrenching scenes.
Rumours are also swirling that the soap is set to welcome some familiar faces back to the fictional village, with a prison escape also predicted and also the comeback of Jamie Tate - who faked his own death. Producer Laura Shaw has previously teased a number of hints about the 50th anniversary, including a birth, involving a yet to be revealed pregnancy, as well as things that would have ongoing ramifications taking the soap into next year.
Following Faith Dingle's cancer diagnosis, some fans have speculated that her death will form a major part of the birthday episodes. Viewers also think that Belle Dingle could come to a grisly end after getting caught in the middle of her brother Cain's feud with Al.
Or could it be resident baddie and fan-favourite Cain himself who loses his life? And while we may have only just seen Meena Jutla sentenced to 75 years in prison, could she really make a seemingly impossible return in five months time?
