Emmerdale viewers were baffled as Dan Spencer tried to stop his daughter from leaving the village.
Tuesday's episode of the long-running soap continued to explore Amelia Spencer's turbulent period in the Yorkshire Dales. The character, played by Daisy Campbell, discovered she was pregnant last month and has received no support from the baby's dad, Samson Dingle.
She has sought comfort in Noah Dingle, who asked her to be his girlfriend in yesterday's show. Amelia concocted a plan with her new partner as she suggested they should flee the fictional village.

The character's brother lives in London and she insisted he would allow them to stay in his house. Vicar Charles Anderson overheard the two discuss their plans at the start of Tuesday's show.
He relayed the information to Amelia's dad, Dan, who was horrified by the revelation. Dan proceeded to sprint to the bus stop to change his daughter's mind, but he was devastated when he discovered it had already departed.
The character was later relieved when he found out Amelia had not boarded the bus and she said Noah had convinced her to stay in the village.
However, viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted during the scene as they were baffled as to how Dan was able to sprint to the bus stops after the character was left wheelchair-bound following an epileptic fit in 2020.
