Emmerdale twist as Naomi confesses involvement in Nicola's attack after cruel lie

Emmerdale aired the truth about Naomi Walters' past, and her involvement in a recent incident before she arrived in the village.

Naomi only recently made her debut after being tracked down by her father Charles Anderson.

But it's been revealed she already knew of one other village resident before heading there herself.

Earlier this year, Nicola King was assaulted by a group of young girls and left bleeding on the floor of a car park.

The attack has had a huge impact on Nicola, and left her struggling with her mental health - while she is determined to seek justice.

In the latest episode of the ITV soap, Nicola came face-to-face with Naomi and immediately realised she had met her before.

Experiencing flashbacks from her attack, Nicola began to panic and broke down in tears after recognising Naomi's shoes and her voice.

Nicola did confront Naomi about this, but Naomi acted innocent and called Nicola "crazy" claiming she had no idea what she was talking about.

Naomi soon stormed off and it was clear she was hiding something as she clashed with new flame Nate Robinson, before telling her father Charles what had happened.

The new character was then seen packing her bags and attempting to leave, claiming to be innocent, but the police arrived to question her.

As Nicola maintained that Naomi was there that day, Naomi continued to deny it but refused to cooperate, leading to her being arrested.

On her release, Charles was furious with Nicola and her husband Jimmy for getting the police involved, questioning if they were being racist.

But he was mortified when he vowed to have it out with the couple again, only for his daughter to make a confession.

She begged him to stop before blurting out: "I was there! That day I was there."

As Charles asked her why she would hurt Nicola and lie to him, she became emotional and ran off.

So now that Naomi has revealed the truth, will the girls involved be brought to justice?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
