Emmerdale to feel Meena Jutla's evil legacy for a long time despite prison sentence

Emmerdale fans can expect one last twist from evil Meena Jutla despite the character finally getting her comeuppance.

This week, Emmerdale fans have said their not so fond farewells to the killer character played by Paige Sandhu. Although she might be gone, spending years rotting away in a cell, the village will still feel Meena’s wrath for a while yet.

Emmerdale boss Kate Brooks has warned fans the ITV soap will still experience Meena’s legacy for a while yet. Speaking to Inside Soap, she explained: “This woman wreaked havoc on the village and destroyed lives.”

The Emmerdale boss has said many village regulars will struggle to move on from Meena’s murderous spree. Kate explained: “We were very conscious not to tie it up in a very neat bow and say ‘Meena is gone, let’s move on’.

“There is a massive storyline for that is a direct result of what has gone down with Leanna and there are also huge ramifications for Charles and Manpreet for a long time.”

Paige has said she’s extremely satisfied with how the Meena saga concluded. The acting star feels the dastardly character will be remembered for years to come.

“I always thought Meena would end up dying but I think this was the best ending - it was nice to have one last hurrah,” Paige explained. “I think Meena would like to be remembered as the greatest mastermind villain that the world has ever seen.”
