Emmerdale has released a set of fresh new snaps to tease the return of serial killer Meena Jutla to the Dales on the soap this evening.
Menacing Meena (Paige Sandhu) returns in an epic week on the soap, where the drama is set to revolve around the mass murderer's revenge, as she kidnaps Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) on their wedding day.
The new ITV pictures now show a dishevelled Meena strutting around a candlelit church in a puffer jacket as she appears to be talking to herself or someone out of shot.
Meena is seen clutching a red rose as she walks down the aisle of the church, presumably where Billy and Dawn’s wedding is set to take place, as the pews are decorated with flowers.
Meena is then seen apparently praying at the altar within the church, as she stands head bowed with her hands clasped.
Alongside the pictures, ITV released the statement: “Dawn and Billy have a right to be concerned about their upcoming nuptials.
“In tonight's Emmerdale the viewers will see Meena return to the village. Murdering Meena is on a mission…”
It comes after Meena managed to flee the village when her killer crimes were exposed, and she hasn't been seen or heard from since - until she began plotting her return after seeing Dawn and Billy Fletcher's 'save the date' for their wedding day.
While Meena initially turned her murderous rage towards her ex Billy for choosing Dawn over her, her attentions seemed to have shifted towards her love rival.
ITV spoilers have revealed that the drama is set to unfold next week, as Dawn and Billy tie the knot in a romantic Valentine's Day ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.
Having suspected Meena was stalking her the week before, Dawn is initially relieved Meena is nowhere to be seen to ruin her nuptials.
But when the bride and groom disappear, it becomes clear later in the week that Meena has abducted Billy and Dawn and taken them to a remote viaduct, where she holds them at gunpoint.
Billy is terrified when Meena gives him the pistol and gives him the ultimatum that only him or his new bride can survive.
She says if he doesn’t choose, murderous Meena will finish them both - but as Billy tries to defend Dawn, the gun goes off, and someone takes a bullet…
At least one life hangs in the balance after the shooting - will Meena’s victim count go up or could she be the one in the firing line?
Emmerdale fans will see Meena return to the Dales on ITV at 7pm on Friday 11 February.
