Jane McDonald is over the moon with the tribute Emmerdale has paid to her.
As Emmerdale fans know, Bernice Blackstock and Bob Hope have joined forces to oversee the village’s B&B. Bernice, played by Samantha Giles, has named the rooms after Yorkshire celebrities.
Dame Judi Dench is one honoured alongside TV legend Jane McDonald. Taking to Twitter, Jane posted: “Wow, what a compliment. My very own room in the B&B on Emmerdale!! @emmerdale.”

As we’ve previously reported, Jane is a massive Emmerdale superfan. She’s discussed whether she’d ever take a role in the soap.
Jane said: “If I had the time I’d do an awful lot of things but I don’t have a lot of time unfortunately with all the travel I have to do. The writing, touring and everything else - it is a bit busy.” Quite likely, there will be a lot of Emmerdale fans who’d love to see Jane pop down the Woolie for a bev or two.
