Emmerdale star warns Caleb 'will pay price' as he teases identity of attacker

Emmerdale actor Dean Andrews has teased the identity of Caleb Miligan's attacker, and said the villain "will pay the price" for his actions.

Caleb will be pushed off a cliff and left for dead next week on the ITV soap, with a number of characters in the frame.

After a tense week in the village, Caleb continues to make enemies and one character will take revenge - in the fallout to his actions and his true identity being exposed.

Will Taylor actor Dean teased his character could be the person behind the shock attack, while he hopes this is not the case.

Revealing Will will want to make him pay for hurting his family, Dean confessed there's every chance the character will push Caleb.

He said: "Will is really angry about how Gabby has been treated by Nicky and blames Caleb. Will says he was drinking at the Woolpack when Caleb was pushed. He’d have happily pushed him I’m sure after all he’d tried to do to Kim…. But he’s innocent yer Honour."

Dean teased on whether he could be the culprit: "After being in prison for 18 years I’m sure he’s capable of many things…. Cross his family and you’ll pay the price!"

The actor was also thrilled to be part of the storyline, saying: "It’s nearly a 'badge of honour' to be in the frame! Let’s just hope it’s not him!"

Meanwhile, Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley also teased his character could be the attacker, saying: "I think there is always potential for anything with Cain. If he's pushed in the wrong direction or if he flies off the handle then anything can happen."

He went on: "There's been a bit of an altercation, at the pub, between him and Caleb and Chas and Moira have had to pull them apart. Cain verbally threatens to kill him. In terms of if he is capable of gunning for him I suppose yes he has a motive.

He says he’s been out walking the dog on Zak's behalf, unbeknownst to the rest of the Dingles. But he's not very forthcoming with the truth when they start to question him which makes it all seem very suspicious."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
