Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock has teased "trauma" ahead for the soap's families, including the Dingles.
A devastating storm has hit the village with one victim already revealed, following Harriet Finch's death.
Another character could be about to be killed off after Sam Dingle suffered a nasty accident, which saw him impaled on a spike after fleeing a cow stampede, and his fate remains a mystery.
It all follows the devastating death of Faith Dingle just last week, after the character took her own life amid her cancer battle.
Now, with Marlon set for horror as his wife Rhona Goskirk goes missing, and Sam's fate also not known, actor Mark exclusively told The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards 2022 that the Dingles were set for huge scenes.
They are set to be affected by the storm and what happens, while the actor remained coy over who dies – but teased there could be a big loss on the way.
Mark told us of the fallout to the scenes: "This story will keep playing off, it affects peoples' lives. The Dingles are a part of that.
"It is going to have really big consequences, it's a really horrible gift that keeps on giving, that is how I would describe the storm.
"It's not just physically devastated the village geographically, it's done it to peoples' souls. There is going to be trauma and heartbreak, it's great!"
Mark also touched on Marlon's fears for wife Rhona, after his first wife Tricia was killed in a deadly storm back in 2004.
He explained: "It's particularly traumatic for him because of what he went through with his first wife who died in a storm. As you can imagine for him it's like going back into a warp.
"He is horrified and isolated."
Mark also touched on the twist surrounding Marlon's relative Sam, and his fate amid fears he will be killed off this week.
Hinting that the character's possible death could change things, the actor told us: "I have to be so careful. Sam is the heart of the Dingles, he is the soft-hearted centre of the Dingles so... I love that character."
