Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has announced her return to the ITV soap following the heartbreaking loss of a family member. The 45-year-old, known for portraying Mandy Dingle, did not attend the British Soap Awards earlier this month after losing her beloved grandmother.
Lisa has now revealed she will be back on screen in July and was "looking forward to it". In a post on Instagram, she told fans filming was already underway and said she was also taking part in another project, BirminghamLive reports.
Lisa wrote: "Just finished filming a lovely day in studio at Emmerdale now on my way in the car, down south to film something else, for the day…..should be a REALLY good giggle, I’m looking forward for it."

One fan then asked: "When are you back on Emmerdale you’ve not been in it for a while." Lisa replied: "Middle of July."
Fans were thrilled by the announcement. "Can’t wait to see Mandy back in Emmerdale," one said. "Miss you in Emmerdale, it’s not the same," a second wrote.
Paying tribute to her grandmother, Lisa wrote: "We love you Nana. Today, we know, will be the toughest day, we lean on each other, you are now at peace, yet we are all craving your energy around the house. God has gained another angel."
She added: "May you light up heaven with your warmth and your infectious smile. I will be try to be strong for the both of us."
