Emmerdale star gives birth to beautiful baby girl

Members of the Emmerdale cast have rushed to wish a former co-star well after she announced the birth of her first child.

Chelsea Halfpenny, 31, played Amy Wyatt in the soap from 2010 to 2013. During her time on the soap her character was fostered by Eric and Val Pollard and later fell pregnant with Cain Dingle's baby at 16 years old.

After Chelsea quit the role, she was replaced by Natalie Ann Jamieson in 2019.

On Thursday, Chelsea took to Instagram to share a beautiful update with her followers. She and fiancé James Baxter, 32, have welcomed a baby girl into the world.

Sharing a black and white photo of two tiny feet, Chelsea said: "The best thing that’s ever happened to us arrived a couple of weeks ago, and she’s absolutely class. The little love of our lives!"

Many Emmerdale stars have rushed to send well wishes. Former Priya Sharma actress Fiona Wade said: "Congratulations beautiful girl!! I’m so soo happy for you guys!! Sending biggest love to you all".

Laura Norton who plays Kerry Wyatt, Chelsea's former on-screen mum, said: "Just over the moon it’s going to be the best looking , funniest child on the planet. Love you clever lady. Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock said: "Oh my. Wondrousness."
