Emmerdale 's Rhona Goskirk is set to clash with her mum Mary next week as she continues to get her head around Marlon Dingle's health issues.
Marlon (Mark Charnock) sadly suffered a stroke last month and Rhona (Zoë Henry) has slowly been coming to terms with his long-term care and what the future may hold for them as a couple.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Paddy Dingle will set up an Easter egg hunt for the kids and ensures Marlon can watch it via video, which Rhona is so grateful for.
However, the next day Rhona is shocked by how much the activity has taken out of Marlon and really hopes his exhaustion won’t impact his consultancy meeting.
Meanwhile, Mary confides in Faith Dingle about the stress that Rhona is under, and worries how she will cope as a full-time carer.
Later on, a consultant assures a gutted Marlon that although she’s pleased with his progress, he’s in the best place possible.
Rhona presses the consultant for a timeline on his recovery and when she arrives home, she lashes out when she sees Mary with Faith in the pub.
After her outburst, Mary worries that Marlon’s move home will only increase Rhona’s exhaustion and urges her to consider the impact it will have on her and the kids.
Rhona is horrified by her suggestion of a separation and throws Mary out of her home, appalled at her mother’s insensitivity.
Last week, ITV viewers watched as Marlon was left deeply frustrated at the hospital during his speech therapy session, as he had trouble forming simple words.
As Rhona looked on at Marlon's slower-than-expected progress, she tried to encourage him a bit too forcefully, leading to his nurse asking her to ease off the pressure.
The whole experience left Rhona at her lowest point and she later headed back to the hospital to apologise, but as Mary questioned whether Rhona had been piling too much pressure on herself, Marlon made the heartbreaking decision to ban all visitors.
