Emmerdale spoilers have revealed David and Victoria are to split up next week on the ITV soap.
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and Victoria Sugden ( Isabel Hodgins ) decide to call it quits during next week's episodes of the show, as they have been struggling as of late. The couple were caught up in Meena Jutla's serial killer storyline, with Victoria nearly losing her life after Meena tried to kill her so she could have David for good.
The pair have been struggling to keep their shop going, causing extra pressure in their romance – and when David, who wants to run a delivery service from his shop, gets a speeding fine, he says it was her driving.
Furious, Victoria threatens to go to the police if David doesn't sort out the mess he's created. As he heads to the police station to plead his case, he hopes he's done enough to not get in trouble with the investigating police officer. As he heads back to the Hide, David tells her the news but she seems frustrated with him, even more so after telling Ryan, Bear and Marlon about his betrayal.
Later, David is shocked when he finds Victoria packing her things up and moving out of the house. Angry and upset, she tells him it's over and that they should go their separate ways.
Wendy, meanwhile, offers Victoria to stay at Dale View whilst she grabbles on whether it really is the right thing to do. David though is determined to win her back – and will no doubt do all he can to win her over.
However, when he returns tot he shop, he's less impressed to find Bear working there as Pollard deals another blow – Bear is the shop's new delivery driver, leaving him in tears. After a pep talk, it sparks some ideas and David rushes off to hatch his plan.
When Leyla and Pollard arrive at the shop, it is decked out in Christmas decorations. They're worried for David – thinking he's putting himself into debt for all the wrong reasons amid Victoria's decision.
Actress Isabel has opened up about Victoria's reasoning behind her big decision.
Isabel shared to the Metro: "I think it’s out of sheer frustration and an accumulation of all the things he’s done. Because she’s taken on his money issues, because he’s been selfish and her son ended up in hospital, because of the speeding fine and the points on her license, and then at his birthday he’s giving it the big 'I am' and she’s at the end of her tether with it. I love working with Matthew and I really like Victoria and David on screen. But speaking for her and as a respect thing, I do think she has made the right decision."
