Things aren't looking good for Emmerdale's Nicola King next week as she continues to struggle after being attacked.
Earlier this month, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) had gone for a night out with sister Bernice Blackstock and pal Laurel Thomas, when she was tragically set on by a random group of teenagers, who attacked and pushed her, leaving her bleeding on the ground.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Nicola is really suffering next week and is left shaking when she hears a knock on the door and a shadow appears.
Relieved when it turns out to be Bernice (Samantha Giles), Nicola manages to hide her inner torment - but she's thrown when Bernice suggests she makes the pitch for the Green Initiative with her to the council.
As Bernice leaves, Nicola is left feeling like a prisoner in her own home and does her best to keep Rodney from leaving before pleading with Bernice to come over and help with the presentation, desperate not to be left alone.
A little while later, Nicola panics when she’s the only one available to pick up the kids from school and as she makes her way to her car to pick up the kids, she's overwhelmed by thoughts of her attack.
Panicking, she ends up slamming on the accelerator and accidentally collides with David Metcalfe’s van.
Nicola stumbles when confronted by an angry David (Matthew Wolfenden) after the crash and when he demands insurance details, Nicola rushes back inside and bolts the door.
David pleads for the insurance details from Nicola, but she can't bear the thought of letting him in.
She soon soon latches onto the idea of exaggerating Carl’s illness in order to keep him at home, despite him pleading to go back to school.
Later on, as Nicola ushers Elliot and Angel off to school, Carl is unconvinced as to why he needs to stay at home with her.
Nicola ends up fighting a panic attack but is snapped out of it by Carl and tries to placate him by looking for some chocolate to give him.
However, he ends ups grabbing her phone and darts outside leaving Nicola panicked as she refuses to leave the house.
Nicola enters full panic mode when she hears girls laughing outside and braces herself for the fight of her life thinking her attackers have returned for round two.
Feeling frightened and alone, Nicola ends up hitting someone over the head as they enter her home. But has she got the wrong person? And will she live to regret her outburst?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
