Charity and Mack devastated by heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy

Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd will be left devastated next week when they lose their baby due to an ectopic pregnancy.

Viewers will see a new side to Mack as he settles into his new attentive role, and is touched by his sister Moira Barton's words about him being a great dad. However, at Jacobs Fold Charity is suddenly hit with a wave of pain and she worries something is wrong with the baby.

Moments later, Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) enters to find a broken Charity (Emma Atkins) struggling on the floor and as he scoops her up into his arms, she's worried that it may already be too late.

Charity's gutted at Mackenzie's optimism as they arrive at the hospital and the pair try to hide their fear from one another as a doctor rushes them to the Early Pregnancy Unit.

The pair are anxious when they are left awaiting some results as the radiographer heads off to find a doctor. Sadly, the doctor confirms that Charity's pregnancy is ectopic, and therefore not viable.

In heartbreaking scenes, Mackenzie is blown away and heartbroken as he and Charity hear the heartbeat of the baby they are destined to lose. Shell-shocked, Mackenzie and Charity are left alone to process what has happened.

Emotionally drained, Charity psyches herself up for what she must do and although she's grateful for Mackenzie's support, it's evident that Mackenzie isn't as okay as he's making out.

However, Charity makes it clear that she is dealing with the loss of her pregnancy by moving on with normal life. How will this impact their relationship though? And will Mack be able to do the same?

Dawn horrified as Clemmie turns violent with Lucas

Dawn Taylor will be left horrified next week when Clemmie attacks her son Lucas.

Clemmie will come to live with Dawn ( Olivia Bromley ) and her husband Billy Fletcher ( Jay Kontzle ) after her own mother passed away. Her mother was Dawn's best friend, and the former drug addict was shocked to see the conditions that Clemmie was living in on the day of her mother's funeral.

Next week, after a visit from a social worker, Billy and Dawn break the news to a pleased Lucas that Clemmie is coming to live with them. The couple are left hoping that things will improve as a shy Clemmie needs coaxing away from her social worker's side.

Dawn's encouraged when reinforcements arrive and Lucas gets Clemmie to come out of her shell but tensions soon run high when Clemmie panics that she's lost her doll, leaving Dawn to realise that she needs to take things more at Clemmie's pace.

The next day, Kim Tate comforts a weary Dawn and Clemmie shows a glimmer of making some progress. Dawn's grateful for Kim's help when she offers to take Lucas and Clemmie out for a while and at the Cafe, Harriet Finch is encouraged when there's a slight thawing of tension between her and Dawn.

Meanwhile at the playground, Clemmie's mood clouds when Lucas innocently takes her toy and Kim doesn't notice what's about to occur. After scratching Lucas, Clemmie bursts into tears at Kim's stern tone as Billy and Dawn arrive in the chaos and Dawn's left kicking herself for not staying with Clemmie.

Will Clemmie living with Lucas completely change the dynamic of Dawn's happy family? And if so, will she have second thoughts about taking on someone else's child?

Charles left fighting for his life as Naomi arrested for assault

Vicar Charles Anderson will be rushed to hospital next week following a heated discussion with Naomi Walters.

Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Naomi (Karene Peter) finally find themselves in a room together after Ethan opens up to her and asks for a second chance for his father. Later at the church, Charles is relieved when Naomi agrees to talk things through with him - but it's far from peaceful.

Manpreet Sharma hears an argument as she heads towards the church, and sees an upset and angry Naomi burst out and walk away. Once inside the church, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) is horrified to find Charles lying on the floor unconscious and calls for an ambulance.

Shortly after, when she spots the paramedics arriving, Naomi rushes back over to the church. Harriet Finch watches with concern as Manpreet tends to an unconscious Charles and when a shaken Naomi asks if Charles is okay, Manpreet shouts at her to get out.

Ethan doesn't know what to make of the situation when he arrives and sees Harriet arresting Naomi on suspicion of assault. Later on at the hospital, Manpreet and Ethan receive an update on Charles' condition and he's completely thrown when Manpreet compares Naomi's actions to that of her killer sister Meena.

Could Manpreet be overreacting about the situation? Or will the truth about what happened between Naomi and Charles come out and leave Ethan shocked to the core?
