Emmerdale show off brand new Woolpack as Charity and Ryan open doors for first time

Emmerdale's Charity and Ryan have showed off the brand new Woolpack ahead of the pub's reopening tonight.

Emma Atkins and James Moore featured in a video to show off the brand new village location, which includes multiple accessible features as well as brand new booths and chairs by the fire as the characters overhaul the old pub.

The duo bought the pub in an auction after previous owner Chas Dingle - Charity's cousin - was forced to sell.

In a video introducing the new Woolpack, Ryan says: "Welcome to the brand new Woolpack. What can we get you?" as Charity adds: "Before that, why don't you go and warm your cockles over there by our new fireplace?"

"Or if you fancy somewhere a bit more private, maybe you'd like to pop in one of our cosy booths over there," the pair shared, "Or if you just want to grab a drink and chill out a bit, we've got our cosy little book corner right over there."

There is also a new accessible lowered bar for those guests who need it.

"We have some new accessibility features, I think you may have noticed them on the way in. We've got a wheelchair ramp now, which is amazing," Charity explained as the wheelchair ramp and accessible route to the beer garden was shown.

"And if none of those seats take your fancy, you can even go and sit by our local legends. We'd never leave them out. Come and join us tonight for the grand reopening of the Woolpack!" Ryan concluded.

When the pair took over, Ryan was keen to create a more "modern" space.

Actor James explained: "I think Ryan may want to modernise the Woolpack and create more of a youthful vibe to the pub. As we know he is a computer wiz and I expect he will have good ideas for promoting the pub on social media et cetera. The pub is undergoing a large refurbishment at the moment and I can’t wait to see the changes they make."

The snug area is Emma's favourite part of the new pub.

"The refurb is brilliant and well thought out. They manage to maintain that country pub style, with a modern twist, using a really vibrant velvet upholstery in wonderful autumnal colours," Emma explained.

"The new snug area is my favourite. During the design process, Ryan rightly points out the pub is also in need of wheelchair access and suggests one section of the bar be lowered in order to cater for everyone."
