Emmerdale could see Priya Sharma take on killer Meena Jutla, if the latest episode of the ITV soap is anything to go by - with Meena soon to return to the show after fleeing the village.
In the latest episode she apologised to Meena's sister Manpreet Sharma, her former mother-in-law, after blaming her for Meena's reign of terror.
Meena killed Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate, as well as a girl named Nadine, before she was finally exposed in January for her crimes.
She also tried to kill Victoria Sugden, Priya, Vinny Dingle and Manpreet, while she plotted to murder Billy Fletcher too, only to be stopped in her tracks by Liam Cavanagh.
Meena is still on the run, ahead of a big return for the character tipped to be in time for Dawn and Billy's wedding day.
Fans predict she will kill again, while it's not yet confirmed by the soap when she will be back.
Priya is in turmoil over Meena's involvement in the crimes, including one that led to her suffering severe burns to her body.
When Meena fatally attacked Andrea, the pair's scuffle led to a flare gun firing and sparking a blaze in the maize maze.
Priya was trapped in the burning maze and ended up falling, with her body being set alight.
She survived, but has been suffering physically and mentally as a result of the incident amid long treatment, recovery and nightmares.
Priya found herself relapsing with her eating disorder, as she struggled to accept her burns and was in a lot of pain.
While she is doing her best to get her life back on track, she is desperate to confront Meena who she blames for "ruining her life".
In the latest episode she struggled to get past blaming Manpreet, after previously suggesting she should have known what Meena was up to and the fact she was a killer.
Blaming her for bringing her into their lives, she continued to target her only for Liam to make her realise it was not Manpreet's fault.
After a heart-to-heart, Priya explained she was just looking for someone to blame as Meena was gone, so she could not have it out with her.
But with Meena's return sealed, could this be foreshadowing a big showdown between the village women, as Priya seeks revenge or closure?
After everything Meena has put her through, including the fact she tried to kill her after the fire, is the soap setting the scene for the women to go head-to-head?
