Emmerdale's Natalie J Robb hints village could get new serial killer

Emmerdale actress Natalie J Robb has revealed a new serial killer could cause chaos in the village in the future.

The 48-year-old, known for playing Moira Dingle on the soap, said Kyle Winchester could be at the centre of an exciting plotline once actor Huey Quinn is a little older. Kyle shocked viewers earlier this year when he accidentally killed Al Chapman.

Kyle's dad Cain Dingle was having an argument with Al after finding out he had been having an affair with his sister Chas. During the showdown inside a barn, Kyle saw how upset his dad was and feared Al might shoot him.

When Kyle ended up pointing the gun at Al, it accidentally went off, resulting in Al's death and Cain taking the fall for his son. However, since then, Kyle has been struggling to come to terms with what has happened.

Actress and on-screen mum Natalie has now given her verdict on whether Kyle might turn to murdering people now he's already killed once, the Mirror reports. Asked if she thought Kyle could become a serial killer, she said: "I hope not.

"You don’t know, and that could be an avenue that the writers or the producers might want to go down. It could be a possibility.

"But maybe when he puts a wee bit more meat on and he just weren’t so gorgeous and dainty like a bird."

She added: "He is struggling isn’t he? He’s wetting the bed and he finds it quite traumatic that he’s having to keep this big secret and of course his dad’s in prison.

"He just wants to tell the truth and we’ve always raised him to do that and then he’s kind of going against his own judgement. He can’t deal with what he’s done."

Natalie has already dismissed speculations that her character Moira could end up having an affair with Cain's secret brother Caleb who just arrived in the Dales. She said: "No that's not on the cards at all at this stage.

"All I can say is she doesn't see anything like that with Caleb. She is pleased [Cain] has this extended family because of her relationship with Faith, and that there's a connection there.

"No, [an affair is] not on the cards and in fact, I think after everything that has happened. I'm sure plenty of other women will [like Caleb]."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1, with an hour long episode on Thursdays.
