Former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has a hinted at a possible return to her role as Alicia Metcalfe in the Dales.
Despite leaving the long running ITV soap seven years ago, the 40-year-old actress is still frequently mentioned.
Alicia is the sister of Leyla Harding and adoptive mother of Leyla's biological son Jacob Gallagher. Alicia married Justin Gallagher and the two wanted to start a family together but Alicia was unable to get pregnant.

However, when Leyla accidentally got pregnant (unbeknownst to Alicia after a one night stand with Justin) and wanted a termination, Alicia persuaded her not to and she and Justin adopted the baby whom they named Jacob. They raised him without ever telling him the truth about his biological mother.
In September 2015, Alicia and her son left for a new life in Portugal, she has continued to be visited off-screen by her family but with her sister Leyla’s drug addiction hitting new lows, is Alicia is overdue a return?
Actress Natalie teased a potential comeback during an appearance at the Pride of Manchester awards but insisted it would have to come after she leaves Hollyoaks.
She told the Daily Star: “Well to be honest, I’m really having a great time with what I’m doing on Hollyoaks at the moment.
“Obviously never say never – I love Emmerdale with all my heart! But right now I’m just really enjoying Hollyoaks.”
And it seems Natalie is not the only fan favourite that could be making a comeback, many fans are convinced ‘dead’ Jamie Tate will make a shock return during the soap's 50th anniversary despite Gabby Thomas' determination to keep him of her life.
However many were left unimpressed at the "boring" storyline. @elizabe82758727 Tweeted: “#emmerdale Jamie Tate return to Emmerdale 50th anniversary.”
@RyanGTweetsTV questioned: "I wonder if Jamie will return for #Emmerdale's 50th anniversary?”
@VampLover27 said: "If Lily has made an appearance does that mean Jamie might return from the dead? #Emmerdale.”
@AVFCLil wrote: “This Jamie plot is utterly boring #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
