Emmerdale's Moira in tears as much-loved character leaves village

Emmerdale fans should brace themselves as tonight's trip to the Dales is set to be a tear-jerker when Moira Dingle breaks down after she is forced to say goodbye to Kyle Winchester.

The villagers have been in turmoil ever since the murder of Al Chapman and for Moira in particular it's turned her world upside down, the character has tried desperately to protect Kyle ever since she learnt he was responsible for Al's death.

While Cain Dingle is the one who was convicted of the crime, after he took the wrap for the youngster and confessed to killing the dodgy businessman, Matty, Amy and Mackenzie are also at risk as they have all been complicit in the cover-up.

In recent scenes the police's suspicion over the character's behaviour prompted Kyle to confess, as viewers saw him reveal all to DS Malik.

Last night's episode of the ITV soap saw Moira, played by actress Natalie J. Robb, left heart-broken when she learnt that Kyle was going to be taken to an authority children's home, following his confession.

A trailer for tonight's show has revealed that Moira will break-down as she bids a difficult farewell to Kyle in emotional scenes that are sure to leave some damp eyes this evening.

The clip shows Cain's return to the village after he is finally released from prison. However, Moira struggles to accept what has happened, lashing out at Cain and becoming concerned over the future of her marriage.
